Seattle's forecast for February may be unattractive, but the region's hospitality wants travelers to know that it's the perfect month to enjoy our rich cultural institutions. Seattle Museum Month offers guests at 59 downtown Seattle hotels a 50 percent discount at participating museums. The discount is granted to guests staying in hotel rooms that accommodate no more than four people at the time of their stay. Guests must present a valid ticket to any of the 59 Seattle Metro area hotels at a participating museum to redeem the discount. This includes all hotels with more than 50 rooms in Seattle, Washington, D.C. and Seattle - Washington Westin Hotels.
Other major museums returning to the program this year include the National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C., and the Smithsonian Institution in New York City. The program also includes museums in Portland, Oregon, San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Jose, California.
Seattle Museum Month is produced by Visit Seattle and funded by a special marketing fund for guests of 59 downtown Seattle hotels. The aim of the programme is to increase the number of visitors to the city's museums, galleries and other cultural institutions in February. This year, the Seattle Museum Museum, the Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C., and the Smithsonian Institution in New York are among the exhibits.
