Hunt Reviews

violence is a problem. there is no homework. it's a culture of chaos, and disorder. Leave get your children out, not all schools are like this.

I would like to see the conferences conducted in another method- rather than the current way where you have a room full of parents, who are waiting in long lines, for a teacher. Would actually like to see a progress report come home- or teachers to actually fill them out, and send them home on a regular basis. Very happy with phone systems that inform parents of events, and supply information. Would rate overall performance as good to great.

Thrilled that their is a new Asst. Prin. - previous person (2006-2007 school year) by all indications was not the best fit. Am very satisfied by current person in this position as with Prinipal & staff memebers. Communication is good and looking forward to a productive learning environment and positive results.

I am with the other parent in giving kudos to the principal - asst. prin. is a another story. I would like to have seen better communication from school to parents. They do need to work on that.

Teacher quality is good from what I have viewed, good attitudes. Student dress code does not appear to be followed/ enforced strictly. Discipline primarily falls under Assistant Principal duties, his methods leave one to wonder if he's really up for the task. Actual principal appears to be in control. School overall needs improved parental communication

Hunt middle school needs work in the areas of discipline. In the two years that my sons have been attending we have seen students fighting and cursing at teachers with little or no discipline. I also feel that the teachers are not giving 100% to the students. My children will not be attending this up coming year.

Not a bad school, it has a lot to offer. Kids can be a bit on the wild side but educators are of good quality.

Yes, Hunt does lack in the dress code...but my child recieve's a 4.0-3.95 every year, and why is that? This is because teacher's challenge the students who participate and want to learn. Yes Hunt has behavior problems, but doesn't every school? My child has attended to one other school-the name will not be addessed-and had 5 children in the first 6 months of school expelled for bringing drugs or a weapon to school multiple times? Why would this school allow this, when the child has brought it over once. The other school my child attended had to wait until the 3rd or 4th time before sny action happened. I'm proud of my child and the school and I hope you will to!

I have found this school to be lax in rules. Non-consistency in not only dress code but the use of electronic entertainment equipment brought from home by the students. Behavior and aggresiveness are sometimes not addressed giving this school an unsafe environment. Dress code is not adhered to in every instance; it's as though there is not a consistent job of discipline. Very bad language tuned out by the bus driver because his music is so loud he can't hear. A theft was never addressed even tho there was common knowledge on the perpetrator. I am on my way to finding another school for next year. I would change now except my son has already changed to this school in the middle of the year.
