Posted By: student Quality Score: decline 2007-12-02 “hi im a student and i go to meany middle school and im in the 7th grade..i will just start off by saying that meany is not that bad but i really dont like it. in meany there are lots of kids ....most of the kids there are really bad and some try to be very rude to the teacher. i have noticed that when a teacher cannot control the class(which happens in most of my classes 3 to 4 times a week) he/she(teacher) trys to play along with the child to not humilliate them selfs....a good thing is that there is a dress code in meany that almost no1 follows. But the good thing is that the afterschool clubs are really good...and i love them. there is many clubs to choose from. many parents may say that meany is a good school but that is from a long time ago.” Posted By: student Quality Score: 5 2006-02-04 “it's a totally awesome school! The staff support handles all of the issues very unprofessional. There is a lack of discipline structure when it should be zero tolerance. I would only reccomend it if you want your child to join the music program. The support staff is not very supportive, my child went there last year and constantly I had to request help for my child which is not exceptable at all. Not only are the students disrespectful to the teachers, the teachers are disrespectful to the students. The teachers always have something negative to say about your child, never anything positive. All of the teachers there are so willing to go the extra mile for each and every student.Also the afterschool sports they offer are wonderful. The coaches take pride in all their students do. Not only are the teachers terrific so are all other help there at the school. From the secretary to the janitor. It is a close knit school where there is alot of communication. We moved out of the school district over the Summer and will miss the wonderful staff at Meany, but will go back to visit.”
