“I have two children who attend Kirkland SDA School. They are getting a well-rounded education as well as learning to play in a band, go on interesting field trips, play soccer, volleyball and basketball, and have good friends. “My 3 children attended KSDA this last year. They all had friends and liked their teachers. It does offer hot lunches, programs 2x yr, band, PE specialist, and piano. I had a few concerns about safety but both parties involved are leaving this year. Academics are fairly good, Bible instruction better. The cost is very low for the area and classroom ratio is very low. Kindergarten had 11 kids, First grade 14, and Second grade 17. As a teacher at another school I can point out flaws more than most, but I'm trying to be fair. Weekly communication comes home from teacher with pictures. Got to love that! The Spring program was adorable! Parents are not required to put in hours like most Christian schools but are asked occasionally to help. “We have both of our daughters at this school. One is in 4th grade and the other in 6th grade. Both have excelled in the environment gaining confidence and abilities. Both have had class sizes with low student to teacher ratios. Class sizes are usually in the mid-teens to low 20's. The school offers an excellent music program with required band starting in fifth grade and piano lessons available on site. They both have had art classes, have been active in sports including baseball, soccer and gymnastics. The school also offers basketball, flag football and volleyball. They have seasonal programs about 4 times a year that the kids get to act, sing and play instruments in. Also they have a harvest festival and other fairs several times a year which are a lot of fun for the whole family. Overall, we have been very pleased.” This review was posted by a parent.
