“Our daughter is thriving @ New Horizon. The public schools she has attended really did try their best to accommodate and help her in the learning process, but as she grew older it became more difficult to give her the one-on-one attention she needed to continue to grow academically and socially. Every teacher at NHS is specifically trained to work with children & teens challenged with unique learning & social needs. And the administrator and staff are caring and high quality & qualified individuals. We highly recommend NHS. It is an excellent option for students needing that little or lot of extra help in a school setting.”

“My son flourished at NHS! He has Asperger's Syndrome and ADHD. When he first came to the school in 8th grade, hevspent his break time walking the perimeter of the school grounds to avoid contact with anyone. By the time he was in 12th grade, he was a homeroom ASB representative! Students in the same grade stay together as a homeroom each year. Because of this and the school's small class size, all the staff and his agemates knew him, understood his learning differences and treated him respectfully. He was able to take classes that challenged his intellectual abilities and still provided help with his organization, planning and attention issues. Their consistent behavior management system helps students understand what didn't work and what they might do next time to prevent the problem. NHS provided a safe, caring, academically accommodating, intellectually stimulating school experience that helped him grow emotionally and socially.”
