Luxury shopping and almost every upscale chain store you can name can be found at Bellevue Square Mall. The 200-plus shops and restaurants fill more than 1.3 million square-feet and three full floors of retail shopping. space.
Bellevue Square's largest stores are Crate & Barrel, J C Penny, Macy's, and Nordstrom. Notable smaller stores with no less-recognizable names include Build A Bear Workshop, Burberry, Hugo Boss, Lacoste, the Lego Store, Lush, Michael Kors, Mont Blanc, and Tiffany. The mall has hosted an Apple store since its early days, but the first Microsoft store in the country is about to join it.
If you're eating, the food courts include such familiar fare as Cinnabon, Jamba Juice, McDonalds and World Wraps. Sit-down diners may prefer the Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Red Robin, Ruth's Chris Steak House, or Z'Tejas Southwestern Grill.
A large children's play area is located on the third floor. Other amenities include valet parking and concierge service.
Two related shopping malls, also part of the"Bellevue Collection owned by Kemper Development Co., are within easy walking distance: Bellevue Place and Lincoln Square (reachable by sky bridge). Between the three, you should be able to fulfill almost any modern need, from boutique olive oil to iPod case. If you're looking for even more upscale merchandise, such as Hermes bags or Neiman Marcus bling, the Bravern is only a few blocks down on Eighth Street.
Despite its modern feel, the mall opened in 1946 under the name Bellevue Shopping Square, an open-air center with 16 shops. It was renovated in the 1980s and began to grow into the major structure it has become. It was most recently renovated in 2008.
