Being a cancer survivor myself, I decided to make my first appointment at Gary Manuel Salon after reading a review commending the salon for it's "free buzz cuts for chemo patients." Other salons and businesses should take note and follow suit. We need more compassionate business owners. Kudos to Gary Manuel Salon for implementing this wonderful program.

Katrin is my stylist. On my daughter's recommendation I scheduled an appt with her for a consult, then we procede with the treatment. Fantastic!!!! I've been 3 times since and my hair is getting better and better. The salon is high-end but very friendly, and professional. I used to go every two weeks with a lye-based relaxer on my hair someplace else but I finally figured out it was costing me more to go there than at Gary Manual. Plus I don't get split ends and breakage any more. Love Katrin and the salon.

The Gary Manuel Salon has begun a program to provide complimentary buzz cuts for women who are about to lose their hair due to chemotherapy. I was the first client under this new program and the wonderful staff turned a potentially traumatic experience into a positive one.
Words cannnot truly express my gratitude to Jean, my hairstylist and her instructor for their compassionate and caring approach. This is an example of a local business giving back to the community in a personal way and I fully intend to come back as paying client in the future.
