Opened in 1994, China Harbor Restaurant & Bar prides in offering the tastiest view of Seattle. Authentic Chinese food, warm hospitality and unmatched views of Lake Union are the trademarks of our restaurant. China Harbor is convenient to the Westlake area as well as SPU and Downtown Seattle.

In addition to its ornate private dining room that is reflective of ancient China, China Harbor features a full service bar that provides live music and salsa events. I asked several people I met in Seattle where I should go for ambiance, good food, and a full bar, as well as my hotel concierge, and did some online research before heading to China Harbor with a date. Not only did it have great ambiance, GREAT food, and a full bar, but also it had one of THE best restaurant views in the city of the waterfront. Throw in the fact that this place didn't cost me an arm and a leg - and it was the best date spot possible.
I would say this restaurant is a great venue for first dates, anniversaries, celebrations, because the mix of quality, cost, and clientele is enough to impress the most cynical of people.
Recommendations:
Go with the Family style "Emperor's Dinner" or order individually and get, at least, General Tso's Chicken. And my final note - $6 cocktails, and $4 beers. Good luck finding a nice restaurant like this that has drink prices like that!

China Harbor has terrific food, wonderful atmosphere and very attentive staff. I have been patronizing China Harbor for many years and I always enjoy their authentic and flavorful food. I also am very appreciative of their friendly and efficient staff. China Harbor's facilities are perfect to handle intimate dinners to very large parties and gatherings with a great view of Lake Union. It's definitely a Must Visit.

I am writing this post to rave about the best Chinese restaurant in South Lake Union. China Harbor has many positives, the staff are always welcoming friendly and courteous. The food is excellent … Great scenery… Since my lunch hour is exactly 60 mins. Getting my food and out the door in a timely manner is very important. In this area they are second to none; the entrée is usually at my table just as I am finishing up the appetizer, In terms of pricing? You can get out the door for under $10. With a wide variety on the lunch time menu, I would recommend China Harbor to anyone who is looking for an excellent place to eat at lunchtime…
