Hi. I thought I'd write because most people who have a great experience don't take the time to review. It's only those who don't really try the product who are writing based on experiences that they had in an entirely different state/club (bad job citysearch for not weeding that out), or they never really went to events with our club here in Seattle at all.
This place completely exceeded my expectations when I joined. It is worth the cost of the membership. To put it succinctly, I've made my best friends in Seattle here, and I ended up (accidentally) meeting my husband through this club. Most people spend money on books, videos, other forms of entertainment, and just don't get any real human connection out of it. At E&A, you can make the best friends of your life and for some of us, through making friends with others, we "accidentally" meet our soulmates. :) I've never gotten more out of a dollar spent before joining events and adventures.
Pros: great way to have more fun, make tons of friends
Cons: people who don't reallytry the service who complain about it
A total scam

I stupidly signed an unlimitted contract for $3,595!!! I know! what was I thinking??? the salesperson was very pushy and they really know how to push your buttoms making you feel like you’re joining this top of the line club where you’re going to meet awesome guys and you just have to join b/c if you don’t you’re going to end up alone and single for the rest of your life.
I paid $200 down, then started paying $80 a month and got it reduced to $50 a month. I still have more than $2K left to pay. I’m trying to get out of this contract. I only went to 3 events (new members introduction was to bring a dish-I didn’t! movie/dinner $20, cooking class $40) Pretty much all the events you have to pay what the heck is my monthly dues for? The people here were not people that I would want to meet, this was totally a waste of my time and my money.
This is a total scam if you’re thinking about joining please save your money and time and find other ways to meet people.
Pros: nothing
Cons: high price, pay for almost all events.
Buyer Beware

High Pressure Sales Tactics - Hidden Costs - Ridiculous Cancellation Policy
To make a long story short I signed up for the Unlimited Lifetime Membership of $4000. Mathematically, the year and 2 year memberships + monthly dues came out to be more in the long run. Though this was more than I could afford the sales girl assured me that "most" events are free with membership. She would not disclose the costs for events because that is "a member?s privilege". Seeing that my membership would cover "most" events I didn't question this policy. The cancellation policy ends after 3 business days and you lose $300 for administrative fees. They did not get me into their computer system until 4 business days later. Therefore, I could not use their services and see that even playing Volleyball at Greenlake cost a $1!! What?? How petty is that?? I understand that some events will have a fee of some sort but I quickly saw that 90% of the events had some sort of cost. I followed their ridiculous cancellation policy of sending a certified letter. They mailed me back a letter saying I was past the cancellation period and to just enjoy their services. After many emails and unreturned phone calls I could not get my point across that they screwed up - not me. I have contacted the Better BusinessBureau and the AGO with no help. I am now using a Lawyer.
This company takes advantage of singles and does NOT have good business practices.
AND BTY They are listed as a DATING SERVICE. Hhhhmmmm
Nice not to have to hang out in a bar to have fun.

I'm a big fan of Events and Adventures -- sometimes it's just fun to hang out with other singles just looking to do something other than head to a bar. I've done a couple of local things with them like a wine tasting cruise and cooking classes. I've also gone on a couple of their out of town trips like New York trip last winter, and Bourbon and Horses trip to Kentucky this spring. Big fun. I'd have given them five stars except I wish they had more of those multi-day out of town trips.

Our club is organized around the simple principle that life is more fun if you are active in the world, instead of sitting at home on a computer or watching television. We run 30-50 events each month for our members, from White Water Rafting to Theater, Volleyball to Hot Air Ballooning, Skydiving and World Travel. If you have spent too much time at home lately, or are too busy at work to schedule time for yourself, give Events and Adventures a call. All you need to do is sign up, show up, and start having fun!
Sincerely,
