A quick Italian lesson, Perche'no means "Why Not" in Italian. After being located in Queen Anne for nearly 15 years, Perche'no Pasta & Vino moved to Greenlake. Here, we prepare authentic Italian food - the Italian way - fresh, made to order & cooked from scratch. You'll love our cozy atmosphere & our savory dishes of pastas, seafood, pizza & rotating daily specials. Try the chef's variations on a traditional Italian dish - the chocolate & mascarpone lasagna.
Frequently during each month, Perche'no hosts traveling wine makers from Italy. Reserve a seat at the table during our winemaker dinners or come by for Sunday wine tastings. Want to learn to cook Italian? We offer cooking classes.
Reservations recommended for dinner. We do have a private dining room available upon request. Chef David Kong & wife Lily invite you to share in their love for Italian cuisine & Italian culture.
Tips
- Live Music
Live piano is played every night 6:30pm-8:30pm and live guitar is featured on Wednesdays. Opera singers are invited whenever there is a wine dinner.
- Private Parties
Private room is available for special occasions. The whole restaurant is also available for parties.
- Where to Sit
Not just a large restaurant on the inside--the sprawling outside patio wraps around the building providing ample space for groups to enjoy a sunny day outside.
- On the Menu
Not quite sure what wine to try? Wine flights offer 2-ounce pours of four different wines; $13 for red and $12 for white.
- What to Drink
The easy-to-follow system of circles and triangles on the menu helps you pair an affordable glass of wine with your meal. For dessert, try the sweet house-made limoncello.

There are no Italians cooking this Italian cuisine, and it shows.
We had the pricey special of the day, and for $30 per plate had the worst fish. Just tasteless, bland, not appetizing. Seriously bad. Bad value, bad taste, bad service. They never even came back to ask us how the meal was.
We asked for a wine recommendation and the server explained that she was too young to drink wine so she really couldn't help with that. Hey, at least she was honest! Lucky we weren't from the liquor board!
Do yourself and your pocketbook a favor and skip this place. As evidenced by the way they treated us and our meal, they couldn't care less.
Pros: convenient to greenlake?
Cons: bad tasting food, no expertise in wine, cheesy decor
You can't go wrong - definately a crowd pleaser!

I've been to Perche No half a dozen times or more and have never been disappointed. It's become one of my go-to spots when family and friends come into town. My favorite thing to do is sit upstairs where you can watch the activity in the bustling open kitchen. Their pasta is delicious and all made from scratch on site. Their Italian traditions, like spaghetti bolognese or lasagna are superb. So too are their more innovative items like spicy tomato sauce or squid ink pasta. I was once told that Perche No is not particularly authentic. Never having been to Italy, I can't really answer to that. What I CAN say is that Perche No has turned me on to several traditional Italian dishes I had never tried before. What I CAN say is that it's delicious and if you haven't tried it you really should. Order the panna cotta. Delish!
Pros: Food, service, ambiance, live piano music at dinner
Cons: Awkward location/parking
Good ambience, friendly staff, but bland food

The restaurant has two floors. We ate on the first floor. The owner Lily and I spoke about her home country of Thailand that I had recently visited. I was disappointed with the food because the white sauce had very little flavor except for onions. The pasta was fresh and appropriately cooked. I was disappointed because when I complained about the white sauce, I was told that I was not eating at Spaghetti Warehouse. I would not go back. If I wanted Italian, I would go to Marcello's or Rialto.
Pros: Pasta display, large wine assortment
Cons: Bland sauces, tasteless bread
