Biography:
Angie has been creating art as long as she can remember. As a young child, she would draw & draw, even got herself into trouble a few times for painting on the walls! Throughout high school & college, she was encourage in her pursuit of art by the acceptance of various awards, including a high school mentorship scholarship in which she studied with professional artist Sherrie Short. She pursued art in college, and was chosen by faculty to be the receipient of two scholarships. She obtained her BFA from Minnesota State University and continued education in graphic design in Los Angeles, where she was awarded a certificate of merit in the Los Angeles Society of Illustrators 41st annual. Being a lifelong avid animal lover, Angie has always had a dog, cat, or guinea pig companion by her side. Today, residing in Seattle, she is owned by a Boston Terrier, who acts as a model for several of her paintings. Angie's love of animals, combined with an exceptional use of color & expressive style, enables her to create vibrant whimsical paintings in which each pets unique personality is expressed.
