Cheri O'Brien is a prolific artist residing in Lowell.  She is a self-taught painter creating narrative paintings of things that amuse and delight her.  Her works can be seen at the Jeffrey Moose Gallery in Seattle and is widely collected and commissioned.  Cheri was recently awarded a $110,000 public art commission for the SWIFT bus transit system on Highway 99.  Look for it to be installed in July.  Awards also include a residency to Centrum in Port Townsend, poster covers for Sorticulture and Fresh Paint in Everett, Seattle Men's Chorus posters etc.  In 2007,  she was awarded a large commission from WSAC 1 % for Arts for her  fused painted glass painting.
