I have been painting since 1961.  I love working with color, establishing light against dark and especially love reflected light.    In 1994 I became acquainted with the Border Collie breed and started to herd sheep with them.  Other than painting, this was the most fun I've had in a long time.  I am also a photographer, so when I was at Sheepdog Trials I always had my camera clicking.  I went from there to painting canveses from the photographs.  These wonderful canines almost paint themselves, I'm just the vehicle with which to accomplish the task.  I paint a lot of still lifes, landscapes and portraits also.  I hope you enjoy my gallery and please let me know in the comment box what you think of my work.
